Jonestown, new album from Billy The Kid, is out

Billy The Kid, well know posse from Costa Rica got new album out! It's titled Jonestown and contains 14 tracks of heavy, no bullshit hardcore. Here's a little explanation on the concept of the album straight from the band: "Why Jonestown? The name we chose in reference to the largest mass suicide ever recorded. It happened in '78 in the jungles of Guyana, and took their own lives more than 900 people. According to the community leader (Jim Jones), this slaughter was a way of expressing his displeasure against society and a way to oppose to live within an increasingly corrupt world, said that suicide was the most successful way, the direct and brave that they could show the world their contempt, and evil that sank."

"On the other hand, the spiritual leader of one of the largest religious communities of his time, an example of thousands, was a dual personality, a leader of two faces that used his social power and faith many to realize personal desires and not defending a principle. This is just a brief history of what happened at the same time a little (in a nutshell) of the daily life of our society that we think is reflected in this event.

Our new album talks about the rejection we feel for these people in power that is behind the scenes as directors of a large theater, making people believe
works are colorful things in a way that fits their convenience and not to the truth or reality. At the same time, show some empathy with what happened in Guyana, a certain affinity with the antisocial personality disorder, and that can be seen in the LP."
