Review: Kickback - Et Le Diable Rit Avec Nous

Musically they are untouchable and, straight off the bat, this is an excellent release. Et Le Diable Rit Avec Nous features plenty of band’s signatures, but it’s nonetheless step forward. Kickback has always been a band that challenged itself to reinvent its sound more and more with each album. As their style expanded from one based on metallic NYHC vibe to explore more experimental regions, they have never lost the aggression and fury. The band has definitely managed to create its distinct sound, easily distinguished from other bands.

Review: Length Of Time - Let the World with the Sun Go Down

Anything Length Of Time touches is full of intensity and focus. At ‘Let The World With The Sun Go Down’, the band is a fucking war machine. It’s amazing to see that after so many years, they haven’t lost it. Over the years, the band has leaned more towards the metal side, and this album is a natural consequence of this path. It’s definitely more metal than their early albums, and much more aggressive than Antiworld.

Review: Born From Pain - The New Future

With The New Future the band continues to blur the border between hardcore and metal. It definitely falls into the first category, but you can definitely hear a lot of thrash or even industrial metal influences at certain times. It starts with aggressive and in your face Change Or Die and really clever Never Walk Alone. Both are solid tunes! The next one, American Treasons, is driven by catchy as hell riff and is generally damn good song even despite the weak chorus.

Review: Knuckledust - Bluffs, Lies & Alibis

Knuckldedust has been steadily building a reputation as one of the most ferocious bands in Europe. The combination of credibility, obvious talent, and down to earth attitude which this bands represents allows hardcore kids to immediately connect with the music and the message. I am totally into their previous albums, but this new stuff is one of the best shit they ever recorded. With Bluffs, Lies & Alibis, Knuckledust has perfected the formula that has made the band one of my favorite hardcore acts for the past few years.

This is a cry for the better and new future we all deserve. This is the result of a 15-year journey of a band coming to full awareness of the world around them and daring to stand up for their beliefs, musically coming of age with more melody, hardness and atmosphere than ever before.
