Fair Warning - Detroit hardcore comp is slated to drop some time soon. What is the main idea behind it?
The idea for the comp came from my favorite come of all the time the together Comp revelation records. But also at the same time I wanted to do something to draw a little attention to our scene because I think we have a lot of cool bands right now that people might not hear about otherwise.

Was it hard to put this compilation together?
Putting this thing together has been pretty much a nightmare there were supposed to be some other bands on the comp but they couldn't do it for one reason or another it was gonna be 6-7 bands but now it's down to 5 but luckily the 5 that are on it are some of my favorite Detroit bands.

What bands are taking part in it and what kids should expect from this 7” musically?
The 5 bands on the comp are Retribution, True Love, From Hell, One by One, and Freedom. Between those 5 bands I think there is something for everyone each one has a little different sound.

How did you choose the bands for the comp and how representative are they to the hardcore scene in Detroit?
I picked these bands the same way I decided if I wanna do a record for any band they are all bands I love myself. I'd say in 2013 these are the bands everyone should be thinking of when they think of Detroit hardcore they are the bands that are out there playing shows all the time and keeping our scene alive.

Many people when they think about Detroit hardcore think of bands like Cold As Life, Dogz Of War, H8 Inc, xTyrantx, which are probably some of the toughest bands to bless the scene. Would you agree with that view?
I definitely think those bands are what most people think of when they think of Detroit and some of the guys from xtryantx are actually in retribution and from hell so if you are a fan of them be sure to check out the new stuff they are doing. But yeah those are for sure some of the "toughest" bands out there I wouldn't say that I personally am a huge fan of any of them however negative approach is one of the best bands to ever come from Detroit and I actually named the comp after one of their songs "fair warning".

There’s a lot of talk about what’s going on in Detroit right now, how the city has gone down. What is living in Detroit like nowadays?
Well I actually live just north of the city of Detroit but still in the metro Detroit area and I spend a decent amount of time in the city it's just like any other place really it has good and bad neighborhoods but overall I think the city is making a come back and alot of young people are putting in a effort to help out and it's really cool.

Before we wrap up, is there anything you want people to know about Lost Time Recs?
I can't think of anything other than retribution has a new tape coming out real soon I'd say by October that will be out its got 3 new songs and maybe a cover. Then the comp should be out this winter if everything goes as planned.
