Halloween 2 new poster and trailers

I can't really imagine someone not looking forward to this movie. With all the shitty horrors hitting the big screen recently, you gotta admire movies like this one. Real fucking old school!

Special Move - Curse Of The Blackwater

Special Move - Curse Of The Blackwater
Rucktion 2008

These guys have been around since 1998 and after a demo, two MCDs and one full length, this is their fifth release to date. I can’t say I’ve been following all of their work but knowing some of their past songs I knew what to expect and didn’t get disappointed a bit.

Special Move are heavy and brutal and that’s what you basically expect from bands like this one. It sits in to pretty standard heavy hardcore with a more UK aesthetic coupled with metal grooves but it delivers some solid songs. The pace of the most of the songs range from slow to mid tempo but they understand how to vary things by speeding it up from time to time. I imagine the only beef some people may have with it is the fact that it is that kind of album that never changes course. Never tries to do anything different. I got no problem with that but if you’re not into this type of hardcore you might get tired pretty soon. Lyrically, they offer a word of wisdom on such topics like blind society, mind control, revenge, shattering the temples and revenge. It is hardly a classic but there are tracks on there that you will return to and play again and again. If you like when bands keep it straight and heavy, make sure you check it out!

Observer Music Monthly on hardcore kids

According to Observer Music Monthly, this is how hardcore kids dress like nowadays (mostly applicable to Britain only). The main question is - are things looking so bad in UK at the moment?

"The hardcore kid

As if there weren't enough teen tribes already, someone just had to go and invent another. This is a 16-year-old from Leeds, who, by mixing the hair, piercings and tight jeans of emo with the chavs' favourite New Era caps and Nike windbreakers, has got the new hardcore look down to a T. I'm not particularly happy about any of this. When it's dark, late at night and perhaps I'm not perfectly sober, there's no way of knowing whether I'm supposed to avoid these kind of kids before they mug me or give them a shoulder to cry on." - Observer Music Monthly

Good news are - we got more style than Nu Ravers freaks, Goths and definitely way more good taste in clothes than the Indie Bohos, whoever they are. But, where are the good old days of 'ugly and proud' gone?

Hip Hop Appreciation Post

I don't know man, but from what I've heard, this new album by Blaq & Primo isn't as good as Rewind (Deja Screw):

This song didn't make it to the Reality Rap album which is a shame cause it's one of the best they ever made:

Here's instrumental, where is your freestyle homie?

And I couldn't not post some real deal Warsaw hip hop:

I For Us Records news

Some news just before the summer! Our next releases wil be the 7 inches from DIE OUT! ("Iteration" - release in july) and WAY DOWN ("Ghost Please Die" - release in august). Our very own DIE OUT! offer us 4 brand new songs of melodic punk-hardcore. The band is heading to a more aggressive and raw way. No need to say that these are the best songs they have written so far! A preorder deal (record + t-shirt) will be available in the coming weeks. For those who will buy the 7 inch : you'll be able to download the 4 tracks in mp3 format and you'll also get 4 BONUS SONGS! A song is already available on the band's Myspace page.

WAY DOWN is a young band from Germany but they already developped a well matured sound. The 7 inch will feature 4 songs + a intro and a downloading code will be offered to get all tracks in digital format, including one bonus song! Their melodic hardcore will surely please fans of Have Heart or Verse! A first song in available on our player.

In september, we'll release (in co-production with a few other labels) the new album from NINE ELEVEN, "City Of Quartz". After numerous tours all over Europe and a singer change, the band recorded this album that will largely surpass their prior one (the already great "Use Your Disillusion"). Expect a new song in the coming weeks!

And finally, in november will arrive the first EP from AT LEAST WE TRY. Expect agressive and intensive shit! The band has a few great gigs coming up (Dour Festival, shows with Madball), support them and come say hello after the show

DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT OUR GREAT DEALS ON OUR WEBSTORE : OUR 11 CD ANNIVERSARY PACKAGE & OUR SUPER PRICES ON ALL OUR SEPARATE RELEASES. PLEASE SEE OUR MYSPACE FOR MORE INFOS : http://www.myspace.com/iforusrecords
