New Traces Of You album is available!

Traces Of You's brand new full-length "Bleed The Truth" is now available through the Destroy Your World Inc. webstore, with the 1st press of this release is limited to 300 copies on clear green wax. Hailing from the city of Milano, Italia, Traces of You is without a doubt within those Italian bands that's been working hard since day one to get their name out to the worldwide hardcore scene, having shared stages all over Europe, UK and Italy with bands such as Deez Nuts, Terror, Death Before Dishonor and No Turning Back to support their 2010 debut full-length "The Last Triumph" (I For Us Records).

Losin' It released No Apology album!

Check out No Apology, new release by Losin' It out on Life To Live Records! I've heard it already and it fucking rocks! The label's press release is all truth! Life To Live - "No Apology sees Losin' It at their best, delivering no frills, unapologetic hardcore. Both musically and lyrically, they make it clear they aren't concerned with the popularity contests and hype-centric discussions all too common in today's scene, instead choosing to just do what they want, how they want. It's clear that Losin' It are helping to put Florida back on the map, and No Apology is evidence that they are quite possibly succeeding."

Hardboiled's best of 2012

So 2012 is in the past and the world unfortunately didn’t die in pain and suffering. It was another year of great depression though, with everything about the economy being messed up, people not finding job or being underpaid and treated like shit. On the other hand, hardcore didn’t suck that much last year. I guess when times get tough, tough gets going and that’s the way to go! The music, the message, the scene – it all was here to keep you strong through these hard times. No matter how hard it got, there was always some band to tell me to quit being pussy and to get a grip.

Review: Provider - Wasteland

This band does not get as much love like some of their peers from NYC, and this is kind of surprising cause Wasteland is totally the kind of album most kids would be into nowadays. It’s heavily influenced by NYHC sound with all the elements you can find on any classic Warzone or Killing Time albums. They did their homework. The album is five tracks long, and that’s almost perfect with this type of music, especially when all of them are hard-hitting.

Olde York Interview

Olde York is one of the coolest bands hailing from New York City right now with a powerful classic hardcore sound. In anticipation for their upcoming Euro tour, I caught up with the band for an interview to talk a little bit about the latest release, Shallow World, what’s up with NY hardcore right now and some serious politics. Check it out!

Download: World Gone - Demo

World Gone hails from Hamilton area in Canada and delivers some crushing beatdown hardcore. From hatefilled vocals to ripping guitars to massive breakdowns, the band got it all covered. Checking out their FB profile I noticed they name bands like One Second Thought, Irate and Sworn Vengeance among their influences and that shit is right cause if you wanna do it properly, you gotta know where to take cues from. All in all, this is a solid demo and I will definitely check out their full lenght (coming in 2013!). Download!

Review: Drowning In Preconception - What’s Wrong?

If you want some in your face hardcore without too much distraction Drowning In Preconception is happy to provide that. The self-released debut ep ‘What’s Wrong?’ contains 5 songs of straight up heavy hardcore that takes cues from bands like Terror, Since The Flood or old Hatebreed. With their heavy ass guitar riffs and drummer that like to double bass the shit of each breakdown, you kind of know what to expect. And that is not a bad thing in my book. Although the album does not blow me away by any means, it’s still a solid listen.
