TMF Hardcore Punk documentary from 90'

This gem was posted to youtube yesterday and I advice everyone to see it. All I know is that TMF is supposed to be a music channel from Belgium which used to cover hardcore/punk music back in the days. At least this 40-minutes documentary focuses on hardcore music and culture. This stuff is great, it intercuts interviews and commentary from dudes like Freddie Madball, Lou SOIA, Choke Slapshot and Onno Cromag with live footage of bands like Cro-Mags, Sheer Terror, Sick Of It All and much more. Definitely must watch for every serious hardcore kid. Sit back and enjoy.

Favorite quote: Everyone is welcome, but it's not for everybody. Eventually, some people gonna realize that there's more to it than just a music.

HB Radio #17 - Hard To Kill

Over 30 mins worth of hard-hitting hardcore. I made sure the tracklist is strong, with tracks from Manipulate, Inner Self, Steel Nation, Piece Keeper, as well as Wreckless and One 4 One paying homage to classics.

Indication to drop XI 7" via Last Warning Records

Whoa, another hard as nails band from Poland. This time it's Indication who bring something straight up dense, agressive and dark that everyone into early Integrity/Ringworm shit should appreciate. After the band dropped awesome demo in 2013, this year it's time for a proper debut seven inch entitled XI. The band is already streaming the first song from the upcoming record and it's every bit as powerful as I had hoped. You need to pump up the volume on this banger and go crazy! More about the band here.

Reality Slap Interview

Reality Slap is very cool band from Lisbon, Portugal playing aggressive yet groovy type of hardcore. If you're into bands like No Turning Back or Madball, this is your stuff right here. The band seems to be under the radar outside of their country which is a shame cause they are totally on point with their music and lyrics. Read the interview, support legit bands in Europe!

Wisdom In Chains / Twitching Tongues split has arrived!

Can't say I care much about Twitching Tongues, but when Wisdom In Chains drops new shit I stop whatever I'm doing and check what's up. The talk about the split between these two bands has been going for some time, but it's finally here. You can get it from Durty Mick here. It's not even pre-order, the label is shipping these already!

Agnostic Front live footage from 1984

Here's a footage from 1984 of Agnostic Front playing in New Brunswick, NJ. It was fuckin' 30 years ago, this is the same year that Victim In Pain dropped. The video quality is rough, but enjoy the sheer rawness and unique energy of the legend's early years. The setlist is amazing, it even includes Crucified, and the crowd goes apeshit all the time.

Check out Overreact - metallic hardcore done right

Knives Out Records kept it busy last year and there's no sign of slowing down in 2014. The label will release debut 7 inch by Overreact - metallic hardcore done just like they used to do it back in the days. The French band strives to bring the same energy and heaviness as Cro-Mags, Neglect and Integrity. While it could have been just another generic throwback crossover record, the band shows enough knowledge of their craft to make it worth your time.

Get your pre-order here. The ep should hit the streets this month. Special screen-printed packaging comes in limited number of only 50 pieces. Overreact displays their skills on 4 tracks which you can already stream on label's bandcamp:

New demos that don't suck: Feeding Chain, Forced Order, Shrapnel

Feeding Chain's debut demo is called Public Execution. The band hails from UKHC scene with members of Ego Trip and Final Rage. This is some seriously raw and gritty hardcore driven by hatred and anger. Music for society's outcasts and lowlifes who don't give a fuck. Download

Forced Order is a new southern California hardcore band and this is their debut demo. Still fresh, it dropped just in recent weeks. The songs hit hard from start to finish, I am curious to learn more about this band but google search just shows their bandcamp, no website or fb page. Download

Shrapnel is another up and coming band from UK worth checking out. This is their debut demo that dropped in recent weeks. Download

New Blood: Piece Keeper - Baltimore Hardcore

Another band from Baltimore you should check out. If Stout and Next Step Up is your type of hardcore, I advise you to visit band's bandcamp and check their recent split with Grit cause both acts brought some 100% hard-hitters to the table. Here's an interview with Piece Keeper's vocalist, Johnny.

Review: Only Attitude Counts - 20 Years Of Attitude

Only Attitude Counts - 20 Years Of Attitude
(WTF Records) - New album from these dudes is always a cause for celebration, especially when it bangs like this one. 20 years in the game is a good occasion to cook up something special and that’s what we get - double CD with new songs and couple of old ones redone. CD1 offers 10 tracks and for the most part all of this stuff is very ill. The premiere tunes kind of bridge the gap between the throwback sound of band’s early releases and the progress OAC made during the years.
