Bad Habits - Rot

I don't know much about Bad Habits except that they are from Pensacola, Florida but the demo is pretty decent and I post it up. They play thrashy type of hardcore with right amount of groove. Download it!

"Some Kids Have No Face" is the latest studio effort by For The Glory, and Destroy Your World will release it as a 12" picture disc limited to 500 copies. Formed in 2003, For The Glory is a five piece hardcore band hailing from Lisboa/Porto who started out with the plan of leaving a mark in the European hardcore scene, and there is no doubt that the portuguese hardcore powerhouse has been doing that in their own passionate way, with a raw and aggressive sound based upon true lyrics to show what they're all about. Clearview Interview

I know many kids are so focused on American or European hardcore that they barely can name 3 bands from outside these scenes but if you’re one of them, you’re seriously missing out. And most definitely, if you don’t know any bands from South America, you gotta do your homework cause they got some crazy scene over there. Clearview reps Brazil and is example of a band that knows what’s up when it comes to that gritty and powerful hardcore sound that takes the vibe of the classics NYHC acts but puts its own spin on it. The band has dropped their new album, Pure Mayhem, couple of months ago so make sure you check it out!

Hard Resistance - Lawless and Disorder

The fact that this album is getting such a good feedback from the hardcore crowds proves that we’re living in a good times for hardcore. I can imagine just couple of years ago when the scene was infected by that metalcore crap it wouldn’t get so much love. But that days are gone and hardcore is getting its shit together again. If you got even slight idea about European hardcore from the 90’ there’s a huge chance you heard about this band.

Bad Advice - Founding Fathers

Bad Advice from Mississippi comes out swinging with five strong hardcore tunes with a good combination of groove and heaviness. It's mostly fast, but they ain't afraid to be creative and spice up the tried formula with cool guitar work or add some hip-hop flavor now and there. The thrash are evident, but it only makes this shit better. Especially check out Founding Fathers, it's rather mid-tempo but hard-hitting as hell. You can go to bandcamp and donate a buck or two to the band for their effort, or download it directly from here.

Still Screaming - Stick At Nothing

Stick At Nothing is another release by Still Screaming, a band that I have been following for some time already and really dug their previous releases. The music on this mini album is still along the lines of the classic NYHC style and the band sounds pretty confident in this area. Think of classic Agnostic Front albums or European bands like Only Attitude Counts and you’ll get the idea what it is about. Nothing is forced, all the songs flow like they should with nice vibe and catchy hooks. It’s even better than their previous outputs, which were really decent already.

Warhound - No Love

New video. The realness!!!

Evil Ways - Self Titled

Evil Ways from Los Angeles, Cali delivers pure mayhem with their debut s/t release. Straight up crossover music which takes cues from the best in hardcore and thrash, it delivers the vitality of core and menace of metal. The vocals are forceful and music is dlivered with enough power to bend a steel bar in a second. I like the fact that they pay respect to the classics, but keep their sound up to date and fresh. Definitely one of those bands everyone into proper hardcore should check out! Download it!

The Last Stand to drop debut album

New York hardcore has an undeniable past, present and future within the ranks of all of the members of The Last Stand. The Brooklyn-based band features Mike Scondotto of the long-running Inhuman on vocals, along with Dion De Nardo on bass, Stephen Della Croce on guitar and Jimmy McCormack on drums, all members of the band Shutdown, who spent most of their recording career on Victory Records.

Setback - Step Up Your Game album

If you're one of those poor suckers like me who missed this one - classic NYHC band Setback has released their third full length album, Step Up Your Game. 13 tracks of crunchy 90s New York city style played by one of the few real OGs in the game. The band has been around since 1991 and been always loyal to this style, dropping two albums full of street smart, no bullshit hardcore. Haven't heard this new one yet, but I can bet it's pure dopeness. Must have for NYHC freaks.

No Second Chance joins Rucktion family

London's No Second Chance are joining the Rucktion familia! Those hard-working boys have been touring the UK and Europe relentlessy for the past few years and they're about to embark on their first US tour. They'll be recording a brand new EP next month with Stu McKay (50 Caliber, Brutality Will Prevail etc.) for release on Rucktion in the next few months. This follows up their split with Beater and their well-acclaimed debut full-length "Never Ending Fear".

Oblivion to release 7"

Oblivion (Tacoma, WA) streams two songs from the upcoming 7" ep. Listen to Doomed and Noose Of Hope here. Musically, it's something between hardcore and death metal, but don't confuse it with any deathcore bullshit. It actually has been up since march, but if you haven't heard it before give it a try.

Face Your Enemy - Do The Right Thing

Face Your Enemy is back to drop bombs on your ass. The band has cooked up ten new tracks which are no doubt their best work to date. I still dig their previous albums, but this shit over here is definitely step in good direction. They moved away from the typical beatdown sounds of their previous outputs and focused on more vibrant sound. The music still goes hard and heavy, but they keep it diversified with a lot of different influences running from traditional hardcore to straight up metal.

Watch Your Back Interview

Watch Your Back is band from Finland that brings some hard-hitting hardcore with balls and attitude. All across there are kids that can’t take a joke so I appreciate when some dudes bring that ‘don’t give a fuck’ mindset to the game. It’s not a joke band though, they also sing about some serious shit as well so the ‘message’ element is still here. Anyway, read the interview.
