Review: Length Of Time - Let the World with the Sun Go Down

Anything Length Of Time touches is full of intensity and focus. At ‘Let The World With The Sun Go Down’, the band is a fucking war machine. It’s amazing to see that after so many years, they haven’t lost it. Over the years, the band has leaned more towards the metal side, and this album is a natural consequence of this path. It’s definitely more metal than their early albums, and much more aggressive than Antiworld.

Download: The Deal - Lifes Scars

This is supposedly debut release by The Deal, a band which I know nothing about but the demo stands strong. From the way it sounds to song structures everything is 100% hardcore. The tracks are fast, short and sharp, and the vocals rip with a gritty voice nailing every verse. "Life's a bastard but so am I / Beyond broken why even try / Took a wrong turn it led to no where / my path laid out with shattered glass." Download it!

New Blood: The Weight We Carry

The Weight We Carry is a working class heroes band from Rochester,NY that plays metallic hardcore that’s both heavy and vibrant. Apart from hard-hitting tunes, the band delivers smart and important message about the way we get screwed by big corporations and government. But it's no preaching, just telling it like it is. Make sure you check out Downcast ep the band has released recently!

Review: Born From Pain - The New Future

With The New Future the band continues to blur the border between hardcore and metal. It definitely falls into the first category, but you can definitely hear a lot of thrash or even industrial metal influences at certain times. It starts with aggressive and in your face Change Or Die and really clever Never Walk Alone. Both are solid tunes! The next one, American Treasons, is driven by catchy as hell riff and is generally damn good song even despite the weak chorus.

Video: Frustration - Last Will and Testament

Ireland's Frustriation dropped clip for Last Will and Testament track off of Dying Breed album.

Video: Spider Crew - Strike You Down

Brand new Spider Crew video. Those guys have been releasing clips like crazy, whether it's Spider Crew or their other band, Only Attitude Counts. Both bands are great live and this clip aims to capture some of this energy.

Review: Go For It! - Misanthropy

This is the latest album by Go For It!, a band that made some pretty decent tunes on its previous records but these new songs left me with mixed feelings. Misantrophy is definitely not bad, but something's missing. It might be because I am basically into more straight-to-the-point type of shit. What I look for in hardcore is rawness and aggression, and I never really cared for melodic core, emo or any of that crap. Old school or new school, it has to hit hard. In case of Misantrophy, it just sounds too polished to me. I think the album would definitely benefit from rawer production.

Review: Manu Armata - From the Heart in Your Face

Manu Armata hails from Netherlands and been around since 2007, having already put No Victory Without Strife ep which you still can download from band’s website totally for free. It sucks that I missed this band when they played in Warsaw, especially when I know how good this new EP! 4 tracks and each one is nothing but display of alpha-male in-your-face hardcore. The band wastes no time for bullshit and kicks the shit off straight from the first seconds. Most of the time the tempos are fast with beefed up riffs and forceful vocal delivery, but all the must-have shit like gang vocals and breakdowns are present as well.

But before that happens, the band will play couple of shows across the States and one in Europe.

Desperate Times streams new song!

Desperate Times, heavyweight hardcore from my beloved Poland, have just uploaded new track on their bandcamp profile. The band has gone through some line-up changes recently, but it didn't slow them down. As expected, the new song is a total banger and perfect example of testorone filled hardcore that only the toughest of the tough can handle. Check out this gem here.

Mike Judge On The Planned Judge Reunion

Review: Step Aside - Reaching Out

Step Aside delivers hard-ass hardcore driven by monster beats and heavy groove. It reminds me of some classic old school shit like Outburst and Judge, but delivered in modern way, bringing also to mind bands like Minority Unit or Piece By Piece. That’s the type of music I like the best and the whole ep is nothing but pleasure to listen. There’s a right mix of harsh vocals, chugging guitars and tempos that go from fast pit action to mid-tempo grooves.
