No One Is Safe Interview

No One Is Safe is another band out of Finland that got that metallic hardcore sound on lock. Their latest album brought on some heavy tunes that anyone into Bulldoze or Second To None should appreciate. This is kind of weird story, but between me sending the questions and the band answering them, they decided to call it quits. So, this is the last historic interview with the No One Is Safe. Apart from band related topics, I got them to share some info about the Finnish scene which in my opinion is one of the coolest in Europe. Check it out!

Human Animal Interview

Human Animal is a new band from Erie, PA started by couple of dudes who cut their teeth in some of the most awesome classic bands from that area (too many names too mention, read the interview!). But it’s not about bringing back the past, Human Animal definitely can stand their ground. When band’s debut ep dropped last year I knew they still got it. It packs so much heaviness that you can't ignore it, but there’s also a lot of finesse to these songs. Some nice metallic vibes makes you think about the 90’, but everything is sharp, fresh and up to date. Check out the interview to learn some cool stuff about the band, but also some insights into the history and current state of Erie scene.

Hammerfist Interview

If you follow this blog you’re probably familiar with Hammerfist as they already been featured here couple of times. I caught up with them again as their new album called Isolation has just hit the streets. The album, put out by Ghost Town Records, brings five tracks of that heavy aggressive shit the band is known for. After couple of listens I have to admit it’s probably the best stuff they ever recorded. Make sure you check it out! And see what they got to say about the new songs, the scene in Cali and other more serious topics.

Olde York Interview

Olde York is one of the coolest bands hailing from New York City right now with a powerful classic hardcore sound. In anticipation for their upcoming Euro tour, I caught up with the band for an interview to talk a little bit about the latest release, Shallow World, what’s up with NY hardcore right now and some serious politics. Check it out!

Demonwomb Interview

Crossover sound which combines the best elements of hardcore and thrash metal is what to be expected from the debut EP by Austria-based Demonwomb. Think some Cro-Mags mixed with Pantera mixed with Slayer, and the whole stuff is played with finesse and skills above average. The band shares it for free, but 7” version is also available from Power Trip Records. Check out the interview with Sandro, who plays the bass, who shares some background info about the band, new EP and hardcore in Vienna!

Bottomfeeder Interview

It seems that the sole purpose of Bottomfeeder’s existence is to bring the glorious style of 90’ tough metallic hardcore back on the map. No band can go wrong when taking Merauder, All Out War or Earth Crisis as their musical influences, and Bottomfeeder executes this style for perfection. If you mix it with hard-hitting lyrics that jump from personal issues to more global concerns, it’s an ultimate killer. This interview is for those who dig band’s latest output, II ep, as well as for those not familiar.

Hard Resistance Interview

If you were around in the 90’ and knew anything about the hardcore scene, you must have came across the thing called streetcore or eurocore which simply meant raw and harsh hardcore with strong NYHC influences and working class mindset. These were the good old days when shaved head and army camouflage shorts was the most stylish thing hardcore kids could think of. Hard Resistance were one of the major names in this genre and with album titles like Engine of Hate or Psycho Tales you bet it was great stuff. After the band took a break for couple of years, they got their shit together recently, released new album and started playing shows again. Here’s the interview so you know what’s up with the band nowadays!

Strike Hard Interview

Strike Hard has Just released new album called Prophecies which has an interesting lyrical concept to it, dealing with falling on hard times and trying to survive the worst. Joe, band’s bassist, gives more in-depth reflection on the album. It has already been released so go and check it!

Empire Of Rats Interview

If you got any taste in hardcore you must have heard about Empire Of Rats and its debut No Peace ep, a thrash-infused monster that makes most of your favorite bands sound like pussies. On top of it, the Columbus, Ohio band got veterans from bands like Pitboss 2000 and Under One Flag. Can it get any better than this? Here’s a short interview with the band!

The Beautiful Ones Interview

The Beautiful Ones hails from Arizona, US with a pretty unique sound combining hard as nails hardcore with some weird influences going from rock to almost R&B. I know the way it sounds it looks like a fucking disaster, but the band is actually pretty dope all these elements make it fresh without sounding sissy. The band has recently released new record "Birth of Desire" on 6131 Records and everyone should check it out!
